Robert L. Woods received his Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University (1970, 1971). In his early career he spent three years at the U. S. Army's Harry Diamond Labs in Washington, D. C. working in fluidics research and development. He has spent the last 22 years on the faculty of the faculty of the University of Texas at Arlington and is currently Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He has been involved in teaching, research, consulting and private engineering business. His areas of interest are fluidics, fluid control, modeling & simulation, dynamic systems, control, and automotive engineering.


Kent L. Lawrence is a Professor of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington where he has been on the faculty since 1964. He received his Ph.D. from Arizona State University (1965). Professor Lawrence works in the areas of computational mechanics and system dynamics & vibration. He has supervised the work of a large number of graduate students over the past thirty years in addition to serving as a consultant to engineering industry.
