ABOUT US

Welcome to the Biotransport Phenomena Lab!

We perform research focused on multi-scale transport phenomena in biological and physiological environments at molecular, cellular and tissue levels. Our research goals are to quantify and understand these complex biotransport phenomena, and to facilitate and manipulate these to develop and improve various bioengineering applications.

Current Research Topics

  • Biophysics of cell-fluid-matrix interaction
  • Mechanisms of active transports
  • Preservation of functional engineered tissues
  • Quantum dot-mediated fluorescence thermometry
