The Center for Composite Materials promotes interdisciplinary research in composite materials among faculty, students, postdoctoral fellows, and staff from various departments and colleges. The current research activities encompass processing, characterization and evaluation of materials, mechanics and analytical methodology development, and design and applications of composite structures. The materials considered in the research are ceramic matrix composites. Faculty members in the Center have been working very closely with local industries.
